If you like photography, you'll love this workshop!  We will use digital cameras and professional lighting setups, and learn to compose and capture fund and funky photographs!

Supplies and materials are provided.

Dutchess County residents who meet the program's eligibility criteria can attend at no cost through a Dutchess County Agency Partner Grant.

Dutchess County ThinkDIFFERENTLY and Department of Emergency Response

Nationally-renowned instructors Captain Bill Cannata and Lt. Jimmy Donohoe will teach how to best interact with individuals with autism during an emergency.

Training will include:

• Identifying characteristics and behaviors of autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
• Effective communication
• Building relationships with the ASD community
• Special tactics, rescue techniques, and patient care options

This training is appropriate for Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters, Security, Probation, First Responders (paramedics, EMTs, ED/ER staff), Mental Health professionals, etc.

NYS Social Work and CME CEUs are available for this training.

RETREAT FEE $700 per weekend | AGES 17-26

• Three-day opportunity for neurodiverse young adults to connect with peers and develop healthy relationships 
• Chance to experience independence away from home and build life skills in a communal setting that includes typically developing coworkers and peer role models 
• Opportunities to practice vocational skills and work toward future goal setting
