Coach Vincent and Jonathan “Superman” Brunot

Coach Vincent Del-Cid  is a CPA and has previously worked for JP Morgan.  Prior to meeting Jonathan “Superman” Brunot, he had no experience training or working with people with  special needs. Coach Vincent had volunteered with a Special Needs Running Program where he met Jonathan and his mother, Olga  and through will, patience and modeling on the course and track, coach Vincent developed a special relationship with Jonathan, a young man on the Autism Spectrum.

Coach Vincent  saw something special in Jonathan, early on began to clearly see the love and enjoyment  Jonathan found in running. So much so,  Jonathan lost over 20 pounds over the first year and went from running 1x a week, to running 2x week with races every other weekend.

Within the first 7 months, Jonathan had run his first half marathon but  Coach Vincent saw so much more potential in Jonathan and, sure enough, a year and a half after meeting him, they ran the NYC Marathon together in November of 2008.

Since then, Coach Vincent has helped 6 other athletes with autism run in and complete marathons and half marathons . He continues to “ThinkDIFFERENTLY” and inspire others with his passion and willingness to believe in anyone’s potential.

His wife Suzanne will be running with Jonathan in  April 2018 at the Boston Marathon,  where this will be Jonathan’s 22nd full marathon race.
