Hayes Day School
To provide individually designed educational programs that will help students with special needs reach their maximum potential in a supportive and therapeutic setting.
A not-for-profit day school serving students who are multiply disabled. Chartered in 1984, our school is certified by the New York State Education Department for public tuition funding.
Hayes Day School is affiliated with Cardinal Hayes Home for Children, a NYS OPWDD certified residential Intermediate Care Facility for the Developmentally Disabled (ICF/DD). Our school provides special education programs for many of the children who reside at Cardinal Hayes Home.
We serve day students with special needs who reside in the community through contracts with public school districts. Both ambulatory and non-ambulatory youngsters, and those with who are medically frail with chronic healthcare issues, are welcome at Hayes Day School.
