Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs Program (CYSHCN)

Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) is operated out of Dutchess County Department of Health’s Nursing Division (https://www.dutchessny.gov/Departments/DBCH/Nursing-Services.htm ).

They provide services and assistance for children with special health care needs from birth to age 21. The condition or illness maybe serious or long lasting, including but not limited to a physical condition, intellectual or developmental disability, and/or behavioral or emotional condition. Limited financial assistance maybe available for eligible families (please contact our local Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs Public Health Nurse for more information at 845-486-3419 or emailing healthinfo@dutchessny.gov

CYSHCN is available in most counties in NYS, and they work with families to help them meet the medical and non medical needs of their children.
